Daniel reading an exhibit at the Museum of American Finance. It was an okay museum, I might have liked it better if it wasn't so freaking cold in there! After the museum, we went back to the hotel and crashed for a bit.
I just realized we didn't take any pictures of the amazing Indian meal we had at Dhaba. Well, trust me, it was good. We then walked around for a bit and then had a beer (and later Key lime pie) at a place that brews beer in NYC, Heartland Brewery.
The next day was our pizza tour. It was pretty neat and included some interesting history in the beginning, but we both agree it could have used more if that throughout the tour. We did visit the first pizzeria in the US and got to take a look inside their oven. The oven is a coal oven and is built into the building. The oven goes back like 8 feet or something. It was pretty incredible.
That small opening is the only way to get pizzas in and out. Once a year, they clean out the oven which requires a 3 day cool down period and then men go in, 3 minutes at a time as it gets too hot, and clean what they can.
Our second of three slices, this one was Daniel's favorite at Joe's pizza. My favorite was the last slice at John's. Mmmmm, pizza! It was a great weekend!
